From its beginnings as a tiny cottage industry to its present-day global position, Cornerstone OnDemand owes its success to founder and CEO Adam Miller — recently presented with HR Tech World’s Unleash Award 2017 in Amsterdam.

Miller began his company out of a one-bedroom apartment in 1999; it now serves over 3,000 international clients and 32 million users — spanning nearly 200 nations in 43 different languages — with cloud-based learning and human capital management (HCM) software.

“The HR industry has undergone a complete transformation over the past 20 years, thanks to advancements in technology and digitalization,” Miller said. “It’s been incredible to build and lead a company that has been at the forefront of these innovations, and I am truly honored to receive such a prestigious award from HR Tech World.”

Also a social entrepreneur focused on educational, workforce and humanitarian causes, Miller accepted the award from LeapGen CEO Jason Averbrook as a testament to his impact on the HR industry.

“For us, HR technology is the catalyst that enables organizations to unleash the potential of their people and our award winners are those who have been instrumental in pushing that idea and making it happen,” HR Tech World’s Marc Coleman said. “Adam Miller is a worthy winner and has truly inspired many in the industry, driving change and HR transformation.”

Cornerstone OnDemand is a worldwide provider of HCM software headquartered in Santa Monica, California.
