The subtle – or sometimes not so subtle – art of effective public relations can do wonders for a company’s recruitment efforts, according to a Michigan firm that produces job fairs.
“Identify three outstanding qualities about your company so you can share (them) with newspapers and local media,” the release from JobFairGiant.com said.
The release also said word-of-mouth marketing can reach twice as many people as other channels.
Other advice from JobFairGiant included:
• Make job seekers come to you by sponsoring a contest to find the top resume, repeating the promotion at regular intervals.
• Incentivize employees to promote your job openings on social media.
• Pound the pavement by attending as many job fairs as possible.
• Turn the tables by emphasizing what you can do for potential new hires.
