Clark, Martin assume leadership roles with Michelin Group

Scott Clark and Joanie Martin have joined Michelin Group in two top leadership roles.

Clark, a 21-year veteran of the company, will serve as chairman and president of Michelin North America. 

Based in Greenville, South Carolina, Michelin North America also experienced an upgraded structuring at the New Year. Consequently, Clark will assume responsibility for customer-oriented operations such as continent-wide sales and marketing; and quality, technical and supply chain matters.

Clark earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis.

In her new position, Martin will see to communications, corporate development, finance, legal services, personnel, safety and environmental matters.

“Our goal is to empower Michelin employees by placing them closer to the customers at the heart of our business,” said Martin, who also has been with Michelin North America for 21 years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Furman University and a master’s degree in management and accounting from the Georgia Tech. She is a CPA.

Both new executives maintain active involvement in South Carolina leadership and professional initiatives.
