Emerging with a new identity, CEB — now Gartner of Arlington, Virginia — recently established a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) Global Leadership Board consisting of senior HR professionals to identify emerging trends and further best practices.
With guidance from an advisory panel of CEOs, the board will advance goals based on three pillars: defining standards of world-class excellence; shaping the workforce of the future by applying top labor trends; and using data analytics to propel business growth.
“We know that talent is the single largest driver of corporate performance and, ultimately, it determines which organizations will succeed or fail,” Aaron Kissel, HR practice group leader for Gartner, said. “We are tapping senior HR leaders … to ensure that the HR community remains at the forefront of new trends and harnesses its collective ability to make an impact on the workforce of today and tomorrow.”
The new board will partner with affiliated associations to develop areas of mutual interest. CHRO Global Leadership Board Chairman Ken Carrig expressed satisfaction with the group’s potential, stating that creating “fresh, relevant peer-to-peer guidance and insights for the HR industry is critical in driving business growth and cultivating new talent.”
CEB (formerly Corporate Executive Board) was acquired by leading IT research and advisory company Gartner in early 2017, effectively widening its range of industry sectors. The company was founded in Washington, D.C. to offer perspective on HR best practices, products and services to global businesses.
