Capital Alliance Corp. has advised that Sequent HR Consulting was sold to Change 4 Growth, a company founded by former Sequent HR Consulting managing director and executive vice president Beth Thomas.

“This was a natural extension of Sequent Inc.’s HR outsourcing business, which is geared toward small and mid-sized businesses,” Sequent CEO William Hutter said in a statement. “The consulting division grew nicely over the past 10 years by offering a full suite of strategic organizational development services.”

Hutter said the creation of Sequent HR Consulting shows how employees continue to benefit from a division that has achieved enough growth and success that it can now stand on its own.

Brad Buttermore, managing partner of Capital Alliance, believes the spinoff works for both Sequent and Change 4 Growth.

“We appreciate the opportunity to work with the shareholders of Sequent Inc., to monetize this valuable asset,” Buttermore said.
