Campbell Soup Co., providing “real food that matters for life’s moments,” has appointed financial professional Maria Teresa (Tessa) Hilado to its board of directors.

“We are excited to welcome Tessa to Campbell’s Board of Directors,” Chairman Les Vinney said. “Tessa is a strategic leader with three decades of demonstrated financial expertise in leading roles at several large, global corporations.”

Hilado’s finance and treasury expertise spans a broad range of sectors, including major pharmaceutical, beverage and automotive corporations — Allergan PLC, PepsiCo and General Motors. She began her career in the Philippines working for Far East Bank & Trust Co.

The newest board member has previous experience sitting on the boards of Bausch + Lomb and the H.B. Fuller Co. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines and an MBA from the University of Virginia.

“[Hilado’s] experience in the CPG and health and wellness industries will provide Campbell’s Board with valuable insights,” Vinney said. “Tessa will be a welcomed addition to our Board.”

Hilado counts as the 13th member of Campbell’s board of directors, joining President and CEO Denise Morrison and others.
