A company in Pleasanton, California, is seeking a full-time benefits specialist to coordinate the program and explain policies and answer employees’ questions.
In this role, a knowledge of retirement accounts and health insurance, including working with vendors, is required, as well as compliance with COBRA, HIPAA and other relevant laws.
Other duties include managing data in an online human resources system and troubleshooting related benefits sites for workers to use. Overseeing wellness and bonus programs is also required. A college degree, four years of related experience and awareness of health care laws, combined with interpersonal skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities are pluses.
