When it comes to recent technological advances, few are as relevant as Artificial Intelligence. As many tasks move toward data and tech, A.I. stands to be incredibly helpful — and necessary — for modern businesses wishing to thrive.

Businessolver is one of the premier benefits technology companies and as it works to remain up-to-speed with the direction in which the world is moving, it realized that A.I. has severe gaps that will limit its applications. The benefits of having an empathetic A.I. are numerous and will assist Businessolver specifically and the world of A.I. as a whole.

“We believe that the next generation of products will combine A.I., machine learning, and empathy to create adaptive and interactive intelligent applications,” Sony SungChu told HR Daily Wire. “Eventually, these applications will learn to adapt to changing conditions with data, internalize the information, and contribute to the body of knowledge it already possesses – all done without necessarily having been programmed to do so.”

SungChu explained that this empathetic design will help A.I. to be more responsive to what humans need to feel well-served.

“[It] will increase the functionality of the technology, our own productivity levels, and our comfort with the technology as it develops,” SungChu said.

Additionally, Businessolver is proud to have Sofia — the only personal benefits assistant in the industry, though there are a number of companies in other fields that are working on empathetic designs.

“For example at SXSW, Google Empathy Lab founder Danielle Krettek discussed her hope that someday assistants will have an empathy quotient (EQ) near or equal to their IQ, giving them a personality and the ability to achieve a more personal connection,” SungChu said. “We will continue to see more companies and leaders focus on this type of empathetic design in the coming years.”
