Electronic signature technology provider DocuSign has named Joan Burke its chief people officer.

“Joan is an outstanding people manager who cares deeply about her team members and their career development, and that care extends across the organization and permeates throughout its culture via the HR programs she envisions and implements,” DocuSign CEO Dan Springer said. “I’m thrilled to see Joan joining the DocuSign family, adding to the high quality of talent across our global team.”

Burke has more than two decades of HR experience. She previously was senior vice president of Global HR at Marketo and Responsys. She has worked at many other companies including ABHOW, ShoreTel, Softnet Systems, The Industry Standard and ZipRealty.

“I’m delighted to join the DocuSign team and partner with Dan and the leadership team to continue building a category and culture that inspire customers, developers, partners and employees to go digital,” Burke said. “It’s a unique opportunity and I couldn’t be more excited to lead the people function at such a fast growing, successful company where everyone you speak to – whether customers, developers, partners or employees – exclaims ‘I love DocuSign!’ at the first mention of the company’s name.”
