BNSF Railway seeks a human resources management trainee.
Trainees will attend a one-week orientation at the company’s Fort Worth, Texas corporate headquarters and then receive on-the-job training.
Training will cover recruiting and interviewing candidates for hire; administering and supporting the employee referral program and travel reimbursement program; managing background and medical reviews; extending job offers; interacting with vendors; troubleshooting errors in the applicant tracking system; and preparing HR materials.
Prospective trainees must be pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree or have obtained a degree within the past three years, and have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 if an engineering major or 3.0 if a non-engineering major. They must also possess authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship; less than three years of experience in a professional work environment; strong communication, leadership and time management skills; the ability to effectively work as a team member; reliable transportation to and from work; and the ability to travel and relocate if needed.
Preferred qualifications include a degree or major in HR, management, legal studies or business related filed; a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5; previous HR internship or experience; and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
