Businessolver, a leader in software as a service (SaaS) benefits administration technology, is moving into a 14,000-square-foot office building in Itasca, IL according to a press release.
“Chicago is the fastest-growing tech city in the U.S., with a number of startups, think tanks and major tech players like Google and Amazon setting up shop there,” Jon Shanahan, founder, CEO and president of Businessolver, told the DuPage Policy Journal.
Businessolver points out that the Chicagoland location is home to DePaul University – ranked second in the nation for HR bachelor’s degrees – offering the company easy access to fresh talent.
“We plan to tap into the incredible pool of local tech and HR talent to build our Chicago team,” Shanahan said. “We always intended to establish a regional hub in Chicago because the energy there is a perfect match for Businessolver’s culture. We’re thrilled to now be part of that innovative and energetic community.”
Shanahan said the new location will also expand the company’s opportunities outside the Midwest.
“Our presence in Itasca will also allow us to continue building our team with the best and brightest talent,” he said. “New talent brings new ideas and fresh perspectives and ensures we persist in innovating our product and service to best delight our clients.”
Of course, there will be challenges as well, Shanahan said.
“Fostering that culture at such a rapid pace and in a new location can be difficult,” he said. “But we have the right people in place to lead our Chicago expansion — people who will excel at building our presence and establishing our culture there.”
From a solely pragmatic perspective, Businessolver’s new location will increase its range of services, but Shanahan says the benefits don’t stop there.
“It’s exciting to see our team and presence grow, and to know Businessolver is establishing a hub in such a critical market,” Shanahan said.
