Toronto-based Caldwell Partners company veteran Chris Beck has signed on as chief operations officer and financial officer, expanding his existing role to oversee financial and investor relations operations, diversity, technology and growth for the executive search firm.

“Chris is a collaborative and energetic leader with the vision to grow our organization, ensure our financial strength and operating efficiency, and drive the development of new products, solutions and services,” CEO John Wallace said, adding that Beck’s increasing responsibility evolved organically. “Under his leadership and counsel, we have attained our financial goals, expanded our reach via acquisition and strategic partnerships, and enhanced the manner and degree to which we are able to serve our clients.”

First arriving at Caldwell in early 2013, Beck came with decades of practical expertise in financial leadership and management functions: with background in accounting, finance, HR, strategic planning, business process improvement and IT; along with treasury and other board governance duties.

An alumnus of the University of California, Santa Barbara, Beck is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is active in industry events as well as Autism Speaks, regularly running in the organization’s fundraising marathons. Previously he served in an executive capacity for transportation logistics firm BirdDog; executive search company Highland Partners, and private equity firm Alper Ink Group.
