Avita Medical will have a new chief financial officer as the company moves the current head of that post, Tim Rooney, to the chief administrative officer position.

Avita has announced that Dale Sander has been appointed as the company’s new CFO.

“These executive changes come at a pivotal time in the transformation of our company,” Avita Medical CEO Dr. Mike Perry said in a press release. “Dale has more than 20 years of experience, including serving as CFO of four medical device and pharmaceutical companies as well as 11 years of leading public companies in the CFO role. Dale brings extensive experience in leading both public and private equity offerings, including multiple IPOs in the U.S. and Europe. He also has a strong track record of managing investor relations in these markets as well as in Asia. Dale’s expertise will be critical in supporting our commercialization strategy in advance of our anticipated approval of ReCell in the United States.”

As CFO, Sander will oversee Avita Medical’s global finance and investor relations functions to match the company’s commercialization strategy.

In his new post as CAO, Rooney will head Avita’s global operations and supply chain management, human resources and information technology.

Avita is a regenerative medicine company which provides medical devices that allow treatment derived from the regenerative properties of a patient’s own skin.
