Invited to lead finance, purchasing and IT operations for Avista Pharma Solutions, Eric Evans recently accepted a new position as chief financial officer for the North Carolina-based firm, bringing a background in leading high-growth equity enterprises.

“Eric has a proven track record of providing leadership in financial and operational strategies in growth organizations,” Patrick Walsh, CEO of Avista Pharma Solutions, said. “His experience will ensure continued success for the company and our clients, and I am delighted to be working with him again.”

Bringing over three decades of experience, Evans previously worked in leadership roles at Mayne Pharma US, as well as AAIPharma Services and Patheon Inc., both CDMOs (contract development and manufacturing organizations). Additionally, he served as vice president and controller both for Novartis Pharmaceuticals and for Sandoz. His overall career experience has also included work in acquisitions and divestitures, business integrations, financings and ERP implementations.

Evans earned his bachelor’s degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada; a master’s from the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada; and his MBA from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Avista Pharma Solutions Inc. operates three facilities, including Agawam, Massachusetts and Longmont, Colorado in addition to Durham, performing process chemistry services, analytical testing and development, R&D and more.
