ATLANTA — Businessolver was recently chosen by Georgia’s fourth-largest health care facility, Northside Hospital, to provide its benefits administration and communications platform to the facility’s over 15,000 employees.

Atlanta’s Northside Hospital, which delivers more babies annually than any other hospital in the nation, will use the Benefitsolver platform — a comprehensive, benefits information portal for its employees, who care for 2.5 million patients each year.

“We have 15,000 employees, but fewer than 300 managers,” Northside Hospital benefits manager Terri Wood said in a statement.  “Being so lean at the top made getting benefits messages down to the employee level a challenge on a consistent basis.”

According to Businessolver, among the results from the platform it created for Northside Hospital are 2 million page hits in one year and over 800 logins to the employee benefits portal; a 50 percent reduction in calls and emails to the hospital’s benefit’s team; and an 85 percent annual benefits enrollment.

“People think they understand their benefits, but the reality is that it’s a difficult and overwhelming topic for employees,” Wood said. “They’ll call and we’ll say, ‘Did you look it up on the portal?’ It helps drive a change in behavior to employees being more empowered.”
