Aspesi joins Sobi as HR vice president for North America

Linea Aspesi, former head of human resources at Sanofi’s U.S. industrial affairs division, has been appointed as Sobi’s vice president of human resources for North America.

Aspesi will oversee employee recruitment, management and retention; performance management; rewards; organizational design; and collaboration with Sobi’s global human resources organization.

She brings 20 years of HR experience to the Swedish biopharmaceutical company.

“Sobi is committed to growing our footprint in North America, and Linea’s experience both recruiting and developing teams will be critical to support this effort,” Rami Levin, Sobi’s North America president, said.

Aspesi has been with Sanofi’s human resources department for six years. She has also worked as an HR practitioner at the UMass Memorial Medical Center, Partners Healthcare System, Benchmarking Partners, and HealthSouth.

Aspesi said she will support Sobi’s expansion efforts in the rare disease field in her new role.

Sobi is a specialty health care company based in Stockholm, Sweden that focuses on addressing rare diseases.
