Annual conference to feature KPMG Global Chairman Veihmeyer

KPMG Global
Chairman John Veihmeyer will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Diversity +
Flexibility = An Evolving Culture conference.

The conference will be on March 16 in Washington, D.C., according to a recent release from conference organizer
Diversity & Flexibility Alliance.

“Our annual
conference brings together professionals from the legal, corporate, financial and consulting industries who share advice on flexibility and diversity
initiatives,” Diversity & Flexibility Alliance President &
CEO Manar Morales said in a release. “We are proud to
welcome John Veihmeyer and other leaders who are trendsetters in diversity and
flexibility and are integral to this evolution of cultural change in the
workplace.”

The one-day
conference will also include talks from Verizon, Booz Allen Hamilton, Walmart
and Morgan Stanley executives, as well as representatives from prominent law
firms. Additionally, Lauren Rivera, an associate professor at Northwestern
University’s Kellogg School of Management will lead an interactive session.
Rivera, author of “Pedigree: How Elite Students Get Elite Jobs,” will focus on
how economic, generational, gender and racial biases affect the recruitment
process.

The conference
will also present the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance awards. Its 2017 Flex Impact
Award goes to Hogan Lovells US LLP; Flex Leader Award to Booz Allen Hamilton
Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer and Secretary Nancy Laben; and
Flex Success Awards to law firm partners and their clients who have
demonstrated successful reduced hour schedules.
