Amazon is looking for a senior human resources assistant to work at its fulfillment center in Edwardsville, Illinois.
Duties of the position include assisting with recruiting processes, conducting the administration portion of new hire orientations, updating employee information, completing employment and payroll verifications, issuing time cards, ensuring employees are on the correct schedule patterns, organizing HR department records and employment files, maintaining operation of office equipment, calculating turnover metrics for associates, assisting internal customers with questions related to benefits, and completing and distributing reports.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary degree, at least three years exposure to HR functions, the ability to work nights and overtime if needed, and experience with Microsoft Office and payroll systems.
The application must also be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications include HR training and experience, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, experience with PeopleSoft, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to handle confidential information.
