Widely accredited Alcott HR, long offering outsourcing to help clients succeed over the course of the nation’s changing economic landscape, recently commemorated its 30th year anniversary with reflection and observations.

Founded in 1987 by Louis Basso and Barry Shorten with just five staffers, Alcott now boasts a staff of over 80 serving in numerous locales. Over the years the company has enabled businesses to process and comply with an increasingly intricate regulatory atmosphere at federal, state and local levels.

As a Certified Professional Employer Organization (CPEO) and Employer Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC) accredited PEO, Alcott HR became one of the earliest New York State firms to strive for CPEO designation and attain accreditation from independent accrediting agency ESAC.

“The amount of information needed to support our clients has increased so significantly that our staff is constantly undergoing training regarding the steady rule changes and new technologies we’re deploying to keep pace with them,” Shorten said.

Alcott HR prides itself on its accomplishments, its principals indicated. Basso noted the depth of changes pervading the industry over the past three decades, citing compliance, competition and customer service.

“Delivering great client value, delivered by our longstanding, highly qualified staff, and our ability to adapt has helped us reach this milestone,” Basso said. “Alcott HR always has had skin in the game. Everything we offer our clients including best practices and benefits are also used for our own internal staff. It’s a great way to ensure that our offerings are first class and valued by our clients.”
