Aegis Living has appointed Sandra Preyale as its new chief people officer.

Preyale will have the sole responsibility of attracting top talent and revitalizing employee-retention strategies to strengthen the company’s human resources in all of its cores.

“Sandra not only brings impressive technical skills but a demonstrated deep-seated passion for nurturing the whole person in our people-powered company,” Aegis Living President Judy Meleliat said.

Prior to joining Aegis, Preyale served as the vice president of HR for Amazon.com’s Global Sellers Businesses, both leading HR operations and designing and determining remarkable HR strategies for seven business groups and 75 global HR partners for Amazon Marketplace.

Preyale also held regional and global positions for the LVMH Group, a multinational luxury goods conglomerate; the L’Oréal Group; and the Danone Group.

“I’m so proud to join such a talented team; and I’m looking forward to bringing my skills to help make impact in a company that truly puts people first,” Preyale said. “We’re in the midst of a robust growth phase in a competitive industry. I welcome the opportunity to grow and develop dynamic leaders company-wide as we continue to expand in cities across the West Coast.”

In addition to her 30 years of experience, she holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and psychology from the University College of Dublin and a master’s degree in clinical psychology from the University of Paris V.
