21st Century Fox appoints chief HR officer

Thomas Gaissmaier was recently appointed executive vice president and chief human resource officer at 21st Century Fox.

“As we continue to shape the company to take advantage of the opportunities ahead, transforming how we attract, retain, fully develop and align the talented and diverse people of 21CF is a huge priority,” 21st Century Fox Executive Chairman Lachlan Murdoch and CEO James Murdoch said in a joint statement. “Thomas brings unique, global experience in all of these areas and fully understands the critical role they play in driving large-scale transformations. We’re confident he will be a great partner for us all as we move the business forward.”

Gaissmaier previously served as a member of the global leadership team of The Boston Consulting Group’s People & Organization practice, as well as the leader of the firm’s HR practice in North America.

“21CF is one of the world’s most exciting businesses, one whose success is built on a culture of empowering its people and creators to do their very best work,” Gaissmaier said. “I look forward to working with Lachlan, James and the leaders across the company so together we can ensure that our talent acquisition, retention, development and organizational efforts support the company’s growth objectives well into the future.”

Gaissmaier begins his new role March 1.
